Turkish property portal Zingat.com is using its new series of TV and radio commercials to highlight fraud that it says exists within the property portal industry.
Targeting buyers and renters, the campaign entitled To The Right House with Zingat‘ has been rolled out nationally across Turkey and seeks to tell stories of people who have been misled after looking at properties both online and through advertisements.
Zingat’s CEO Ahmet Kayhan says property advertisements, especially digitally, often provide consumers with information that is deceptive. He says some developers list properties which do not exist and portals are allowing the behaviour to continue.
“Thousands of citizens are victimized every year through false and misleading information via real estate advertisements which are broadcast in Turkey, especially on digital channels,” Kayhan told PPW.
Who is Zingat for?
Zingat launched in 2015 and offers residential and commercial properties throughout Turkey for buyers and renters. These properties include those that are both finished and under construction.

How it works
To combat fraudulent listings, Zingat has set up a secure system which only allows professionals with a Zingat account to list their properties. Once the listing has been input, it’s directed to three brokers who look after housing in that vicinity and the individual then selects who to work with.
Kayhan says the portal provides extensive data on the neighbourhood and answers consumer questions such as:
- Where should I buy?
- Is this the right price for me?
- Do I buy or rent?
- Is the property under construction or finished ?
The advertisements are being rolled out this week and will target three key concepts: Decent Neighbourhood, City Centre and the Ready to Move Apartment.
