The company calculates the total value of appraisal leads that were sent during December was worth over £25m in potential fees, according to Estate Agent Today.
Zoopla made the statement a day after its competitor OnTheMarket published a series of testimonials which included content that focused on the quality of Zoopla’s leads.
The Group says the total appraisal leads generated by its Zoopla and Primelocation portals during 2016 were up 31 per cent on the previous year, and worth over £250m in potential fees to its members.
The Zoopla Estimates tool gives users a guide price of a home on any given day and is calculated using a secret formula that analyses millions of data points relating to property sales and home features UK wide, says a statement on the company’s website.
“ZPG generates more appraisal leads than any other website as a result of its unique valuation tool which allows homeowners to contact local agents with a view to instructing them” says a statement from the group.
Mark Goddard, managing director of ZPG Property Services, says the company’s estimates tool is one of its most successful attributes.
“Whilst we continue to be one of the largest generators of applicant leads for estate and letting agencies in the UK, our unique ability to generate significant and increasing volumes of appraisal leads is delivering exceptional value,” Goddard said.
“It is clear that ZPG members have a huge advantage when it comes to winning new business as prospective vendors and landlords use our websites to help them to identify and select a local agent” he says.
