Zoopla Property Group has announced David Dutton will step down from the company’s board of directors as of 30 June 2016.
Dutton, who was one of Zoopla’s two nominee directors from Daily Mail General Trust (DMGT) will also step down from its board and his position of Executive Director at the end of the month.
DMGT business to business segment chief executive officer Suresh Kavan will be appointed to the DMGT board from July while Kevin Beatty will replace Dutton on the Zoopla board.
Beatty, who is Chief Executive Officer of DMG Media Limited and a director of DMGT sat on the Zoopla board prior to its initial public offering. He will be take up his role from 1 July 2016.
Beatty joined DMGT in 1996 from the Mirror Group, where he had been Managing Director of the Scottish Daily Record and Sunday Mail.
He is also a board member of the Newspaper Publishers Association (NPA) and represents the UK publishing industry on the Board of the World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers (WAN -IFRA ).
Dutton became a Director of Zoopla Property Group in 2012 and has been an Executive Director of Daily Mail & General Trust plc since 1997.
A successful entrepreneur, he has been advising the Zoopla Group on property matters.
