This year, the UK’s Zoopla Property Group has played a significant role in helping fight homelessness by presenting the non-profit organisation, Shelter, with a cheque for over £30,000. The impressive amount raised and donated by Zoopla Property Group and its staff follows a number of fundraising activities throughout 2012.
The charitable activities undertaken by Zoopla Property Group on behalf of Shelter this year include regular generous payroll giving by many of the company’s employees, participation by a team of 16 staff including CEO Alex Chesterman in Shelter’s Vertical Rush climbing the 920 stairs of Tower 42 in the City and the hosting of the first annual Zoopla Charity Classic golf tournament.
And in keeping with its ongoing commitment to charitable causes, Zoopla Property Group has today announced a new partnership with The Prince’s Trust and pledged a minimum of £25,000 in 2013 to help improve the lives of young people seeking opportunity and work across Britain. Zoopla Property Group has also already committed a minimum of £50,000 next year to a number of West Midlands’ charities including The Albion Foundation.
Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of Zoopla Property Group said: “We take our corporate responsibility seriously and our employees have been very enthusiastic about getting involved in our various fundraising activities. Charities are increasingly dependent on donations from businesses like ours as government funding is being cut dramatically. We’re delighted to have raised more than we set out to for Shelter in 2012 and are looking forward to working in partnership with The Prince’s Trust to raise as much as we can next year.”
