The challenge to find the best football team in UK residential property was concluded at the weekend in the 2013 Zoopla Property Group 7-A-Side Charity Football Tournament where over 48 matches were played across 4 pitches in one day.
It was a highly competitive affair with 20 teams involved but at the end of the day it was Studenttenantfind.com who saw off Streets Ahead in the hotly contested final to be crowned the overall winner. They took home the 2013 ZPG Charity Football Trophy along with associated bragging rights whilst Streets Ahead came in a close second and Taylors took third place.
Additional accolades were awarded to Jeff Quantrell of Streets Ahead who earned himself ‘Player of the Tournament’, Pat Clark of Taylors scored the ‘Goal of the Tournament’ and Gibbs Gillespie won ‘Best Kit’ for their professional and striking navy blue kit.
In a bid to raise even more funds for the Estate Agency Foundation (EAF) all players tried their boot at the famous Zoopla.co.uk Half-Time House Challenge, featured in every Premier League home game at The Hawthorns this past season. 11 players successfully managed to beat the challenge and netted a further £5,500 from Zoopla Property Group for the EAF.
Alex Chesterman, Founder & CEO of Zoopla Property Group said, “This was a fabulous day out and it was great to be able to provide a full Premier League football experience for our members and their families. We’re delighted with the £9,500 that we have raised for the Estate Agent Foundation and already have teams trying to sign up for next year!”
Bill McClintock, Chairman of the EAF said, “The EAF are delighted with the amount of money that ZPG raised at the football tournament over the weekend and owe them a huge thank you for all their efforts. We also need to thank all the teams that took part and everyone who contributed to the day. ZPG have become great supporters of the EAF and we look forward to continuing to work with them to raise much-needed funds for great causes.”
The 20 teams that played in the day and helped raise £9,500 for the Estate Agency Foundation are: Aspire, Davis Tate, Edmund Cude, Gibbs Gillespie, Intercounty, The Bridge LsL Property Services, jdm, JP & Brimelow, Kings Group, Laports, Miles & Barr, Adams Estates, Persimmon Homes Lancashire, Proffitt and Holt Partnership, Square Mile, Streets Ahead, CPS Lettings, Taylors Central, StudentTenantFind.com and ZPG.
