Venture capital firm PropTech Farm has announced the first close of its third fund, marking a new phase of investment focused on real estate technology across Southeast Asia and Australia.
The fund will deploy between $500,000 and $2 million for up to 15 PropTech startups at the Seed to Series A stage in Southeast Asia. Target markets include Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, the Philippines and Australia.
The firm is seeking startups across the entire built environment lifecycle—from AI-led design and construction platforms to energy efficiency tools and transaction marketplaces.
Mike Plichta, Managing Partner at PropTech Farm, said:
“Southeast Asia’s market fragmentation is both a challenge and a strategic edge. We’re looking for founders who can navigate local nuances to build resilient, long‑term businesses that scale across the region.”
Founded in Sweden in 2021, PropTech Farm has already invested in more than 10 PropTech and CleanTech ventures. The leadership team, now spread across Europe and Asia-Pacific, claims historical returns of up to 50× from previous investments in classifieds, real estate transaction tools, and energy management software.
Unlike its previous vehicles, Fund III is headquartered in Singapore and backed by a mix of family offices, corporates, and institutional investors. A second close is expected in mid-2025.
Frederik Bergman, Global Managing Partner, added:
“Our mission is to connect the global PropTech ecosystem. By leveraging our proven track record of high‑multiple exits and deep industry relationships, we accelerate founders’ journeys from local champions to global leaders.”
More than 50 startups are already in the pipeline, ranging from interior design and construction analytics to energy optimisation systems and procurement platforms.
Fund III has been backed by regional accelerators, PropTech associations and incubators to help drive product validation and co-investment opportunities.
“Having led over 40 PropTech investments and achieved multiple 30x to 50x exits, I’ve seen how the right combination of regional expertise and proven business models unlocks exponential growth,” said Simon Baker, General Partner. “PropTech Farm Fund III is poised to back the next generation of region‑defining startups.”
