Rental marketplace, Zumper, has announced that it has named Shalin Amin as its first Chief Experience Officer (CXO).

Amin joins Zumper with an impressive repertoire behind him. He has about two decades of experience in supporting technology companies to create better avenues in order to connect with their consumers.

As the CXO of Zumper, Amin will be responsible for elevating the end-to-end UX, scaling the team, and overseeing the two-sided marketplace.

Amin has been involved with some big names in this tenure. He has designed UIs for companies like eBay, Warner Music, The Wall Street Journal, and more. He worked at Uber where he redesigned the rider app, receiving a number of awards for his work.

Commenting on the appointment, Amin, said:

"For the last eight years, the team has worked tirelessly to build a rental marketplace from the ground up. I'm excited to build upon that foundation to help make Zumper the most trusted, end-to-end rental destination that puts our customers first.”

Zumper has been offering its end-to-end rental marketplace since 2012. It has over 200 employees in five offices across the country. Being an all-in-one, the company has been able to flourish this year, helping an expected 80 million people to rent an apartment or home.

Amin said:

"I was drawn to the organization because of its people, the impact, and opportunity to redefine another category. With more than 80 million people using Zumper in 2020, I hope to make Zumper a beloved brand that renters and property owners come to trust with one of the most important financial decisions of their lives."
