The founder of Purplebricks, Michael Bruce, has been busy. Rumors about the latest project by the hybrid estate agency’s founder have been circulating for a while and those rumors have been laid to rest with this recent announcement.

Called Launch B, this project is Bruce’s latest endeavor-- a proptech startup.

Along with the announcement came more news. Reapit’s CEO, Gary Barker will be Launch B’s CEO.

Barker has worked under the Reapit brand for 13 years, and is keeping his shareholder titled. He has deep experience with proptech and previously held an IT role at Countrywide.

On the subject of Barker, Bruce said:

“I am delighted to welcome Gary to the business and thrilled that he will be overseeing its launch. He has a fantastic track record in the industry and is greatly admired for the work he has done at The Reapit Group, providing solutions to help agents advance and grow their business.

“Our mission will help agents to determine and shape the future and put them at the forefront of innovation whilst materially advancing the experience for everyone looking to buy, sell or let property. I welcome a great leader and an enormous talent.”

Currently, the Launch B site offers a small explanation of what’s to come and a call for recruitment.
