Matterport has spent the pandemic growing its 3D capture and spatial data business while other companies struggled to deal with the issues surrounding consumers ending their moving plans while lockdown orders were in place.

The company has just recently announced a partnership with LonRes, a residential data network in London that has over 6,500 subscribers

With this partnership, subscribers through LonRes can utilize Matterport’s network of 3D capture technicians and will be offered discounted capture services

The Vice President and EMEA MD at Matterport, James Morris-Manual, said:

“Our partnership with LonRes comes at an important juncture for the London housing market. Digital twins allow prospective buyers to judge the size, space, and dimensions of each room and have proved an invaluable tool for supporting house hunters and estate agents alike.”

Anthony Payne, Managing Director at LonRes, said:

“The partnership is particularly timely as the industry comes up against the issues caused by COVID-19 and the related lockdown and social distancing measures."

Matterport has shared its 3D capture capabilities with a number of real estate giants to aid in virtual tours while consumers practice social distancing. The company has seen a spike in camera sales since the beginning of the pandemic.
