Social Distancing and quarantines are becoming common place in every country. Though the strictness varies, property portals—specifically—are doing what they can to not only support self-quarantining, but show that consumers can still benefit from their services from the comfort of their own homes.

Realestate.com.au, the property portal arm of REA Group in Australia, recently launched a new digital inspection tool. This feature is now available on the site's 'Inspections' section of its Buy and Rent listings on the platform.

The property portal has explained that this is just the first new tool in a list of innovations the platform has in store to continue its navigation through the social shift in place to combat the spread of COVID-19 and keep not only its agents, but its customers safe.

UAE property portal, Property Finder, is offering a number of similar digital solutions to facilitate house hunting. Its new virtual house tours is available on its platform as well as on its social media accounts.

Ari Kesisoglu, Property Finder’s President, said:

“While the Coronavirus has changed the way we all live, we know that people still need to find new properties, and we have worked around the clock to help enable the best possible virtual experience.”

We are keeping up with portals across the globe, rapidly evolving to answer the issues that have arisen from either self-imposed of government issues social distancing in hopes that there is some semblance of normalcy. Whether that means digitizing services that were, until recently, traditionally run and in-person, or giving back to the people to help those in need, portals are working to keep up to keep both the consumer and the employer safe.
