The 26th Property Portal Watch Conference was held in Madrid this past November; it was our largest event thus far, with 400+ C-Level leaders attending from 40 different countries around the world, among them, Erik Backer, CEO at Portal.Chat, was interviewed by our founder and industry expert, Simon Baker.

Portal.Chat offers live chat AI chat-bot ID tracing and/or visitor ID revealing as well as social media profiles auto translating, between visitor and user White Label solutions for web portals. The company also offers Facebook Messenger integration with handling of in-coming chat via the social media.

SIMON BAKER: When we think of chatbots we think of humans talking to a computer or using a typing interface for a human to talk to another human. How have chatbots evolved?

ERIK BACKER: Over time basically, chatbots have become more important every day. What we see today is, that with some of the portals, chatbots deliver more conversion than the other tools for conversion on a website. So, basically I don't think people mind dealing with a chatbot. We know, actually, people don't mind dealing with a chatbot. So when you look at life case studies up to 20 percent of the conversion comes through chatbots.
