Migo is here to offer a self-service platform for the home-sharing segment.

Two known companies are joining forces to offer a new platform to help those looking for affordable home-sharing. Software and data analytics provider, RealPage, is partnering with Airbnb to launch Migo, a solution for residents and apartment owners to share their spaces via Airbnb.

RealPage CEO Steve Winn said:

“RealPage is very pleased to partner with Airbnb on this groundbreaking software and service. The business of owning and managing apartment communities is changing rapidly as residents now expect the freedom to live, work, and travel on their own schedules and share their space when they are away.

“The industry has long sought a home-sharing model that allows both owners and residents to participate and financially benefit without impacting existing residents or burdening management with extra work. Our exclusive partnership with Airbnb will make it easier for everyone to benefit from home sharing.”

Migo allows residents to redeem a percentage of their monthly rent depending on how often their home is shared on Airbnb. Likewise, owners can share the financial benefits of home-sharing with their residents. Migo also provides access control, tenant screening, noise monitoring, and cleaning services thanks to RealPage.

Migo Services

With the Migo app, residents can list their space on Airbnb, grant remote access to guests, schedule cleanings, connect with Migo customer service, monitor home-sharing performance, and more. Apartment owners can access analytics, optimize apartments that are rarely used, and offer a better experience for their tenants.

Jesse Stein, head of Airbnb for Real Estate, said:

“Airbnb has long supported and enabled building owners and their residents to benefit from home sharing and we’re thrilled that we can continue this work with RealPage—the premier property management software provider with more than two decades of experience—in its launch of Migo.”

Apartment managers can allow residents to list their space for a certain number of days via Migo with the protection and guidance of local law. Thanks to its integration with RealPage, Migo has the added benefit of offering managers eligibility information through the RealPage AI Revenue Management system, a system that adjusts base rents when compared to the demand for this type of service.

Currently, Migo is compatible with PealPage, Entrata, Yardi, and MRI and will soon be available across the sector by the Fall of this year.
