SD Worx and GlobePayroll partnership grows with new majority stake announcement

Leading provider of worldwide HR and payroll services SD Worx has recently announced that it will be increasing its stake in GlobePayroll by 10.1%, bringing the total from 40% to 50.01%. Founded in late 2015, the French company is the first in the industry to offer a global payroll solution that is fully cloud-based.

In June of last year, SD Worx acquired 40% of GlobePayroll's shares. SD Worx is now increasing its stake in GlobePayroll, and additional funds will be made available to accelerate international market expansion and product development. 

Discussing the acquisition, Jean-Luc Barbier, Vice President of SD Worx Group and Managing Director of SD Worx Global Solutions, said: "SD Worx's groundbreaking global leadership and experience combined with GlobePayroll's groundbreaking HR and payroll software ensures that we can continue to deliver the best customer experience in the market to our customers."

A multinational focus

GlobePayroll and SD Worx Global Solutions are also launching a new offer together: Global People Services. This pre-packaged suite will seamlessly integrate GlobePayroll's international core HR module into payroll software in more than 15 countries, with additional countries being added in a second phase. Regardless of the nation, customers receive a uniform overview and a uniform working method. 

In France, multiple new clients of SD Worx and GlobePayroll are already using GlobePayroll's Cloud Payroll Engine to manage their payroll and digital processes. Luxembourg will follow until the end of this year, and gradually, the platform will be expanded to existing customers. 

Rapid growth

The four founders and shareholders of GlobePayroll will retain their positions and location. SD Worx, however, receives two additional board posts: CIO Henri Vanroelen and Thierry Vanbever, International Business Directors, will take on these tasks. Lastly, Jean-Luc Barbier has been promoted to Chief Executive Officer.
