All major internet search browsers, including Google Chrome, Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Firefox, now require websites to be secured and encrypted with HTTPS.

RealtyTech Inc. a real estate software and lead generation company for real estate agents, offices and franchises, has implemented the HTTPS protocol on all current and future client websites for increased security of all their Clients.

“Google initiated this push for increased security, and we agree it is a good idea for the security and safety of all online users, not the least of which is our valued Clients,” said Richard Uzelac, CEO of RealtyTech. “As the online landscape changes, and it has changed continually since we started in 2002, RealtyTech’s mission has been to update and improve our products and services for both new clients and more importantly, our thousands of current clients," he added.

In July of 2018 began to flag websites set up with non-encrypted connections to the internet (HTTP). The major browser companies like Google, Apple and Microsoft began showing warnings of site being “Not Secure.”

“We could not allow visitors to our Client’s websites to be greeted with a message stating that the websites were not secure. The last thing we want is our Clients to lose possible prospects on their websites and for those prospects to miss out on the possibility of finding their dream home on a Client’s RealtyTech website and IDX MLS home search system. So, we began in earnest to secure literally thousands of real estate websites for our valued clients.” Richard Uzelac stated.

RealtyTech provides lead generation, search marketing and online advertising for many of their clients. Unsecured websites are soon going to be dropped down in online placement by Google, Yahoo, Bing and other search engines. This could be a very negative result for their clients and all other websites in the future should Google and others decide to only promote HTTPS secured websites.
