Confirmed: Two key people have left Rightmove

Property portal giant in the UK, Rightmove has come out and confirmed two veteran, and key, employees have recently left the business.

The news surrounding the departure of the two employees has been abuzz for a while – Did these two leave? Is it just gossip? –  Finally, the company put the rumor to rest by stating that both left last year, but at different times. Rightmove declined to comment further on the matter, and it has not made any further announcements.

The two key employees discussed were Jason Bushby and Stewart Mussett, both having left the company last year under specific circumstances.

The former head of agency sales, Jason Bushby, is still listed as a Rightmove employee on LinkedIn. On the other hand, Stewart Mussett, the northern director for estate agency, has since changed his status on his own LinkedIn profile, posting a parting comment on his time at Rightmove: "After over 13 years of helping to build, develop and grow the UK's Number 1 property portal Rightmove, playing my part in taking it from an effective start-up company to now an FTSE 100 company, I have decided to embark on a new challenge in 2019," says the comment. "Not sure what that will be yet but will be leaving my current role of Area Director at the end of December 2018."

There is no reason to think these two men left Rightmove on bad terms, and both have since been replaced by internal appointments. This confirmation has come in the wake of Rightmove's prices rising for agents.

Rightmove plc is a United Kingdom-based company, which operates as a property portal Rightmove.com.uk. The company's Website and mobile platforms provide online property search.

Rightmove's segments include Agency, New Homes and Other: The Agency segment provides resale and lettings property advertising services; The New Homes segment provides property advertising services to new home developers and housing associations; The Other segment consists of overseas and commercial property advertising services and non-property advertising services, which include its third-party and consumer services, as well as data and valuation services.

Rightmove does not usually comment on who comes and goes through its employee pool unless they are board members.

The company offers its services through estate agents, lettings agents, new homes developers and overseas homes agents offering properties outside the United Kingdom but interested in advertising to the United Kingdom-based home hunters.
