OnTheMarket has signed an exclusive with NicheCom, a leading provider of estate agency marketing services, to supply the challenger portal's agents across England and Wales with 3D Showcase scans and 2D floorplans.

As part of the agreeement, agencies not using 3D Showcase scans from NicheCom will be eligible to receive one free 3D Showcase scan—captured by a Matterport camera—and one 2D floorplan for a single property until the end of this year.

The partnership also provides OnTheMarket agents with exclusive use of NicheCom’s virtual viewing platform allowing agents to host virtual viewings with their clients, with OnTheMarket agents having access to further 3D showcase scans, 2D floorplans, property images and "doll's house" views at exclusive discounted rates.

NicheCom will also deliver online training to OnTheMarket agents.

Julie Emmerson, Head of Agent Commercial Partnerships at OnTheMarket, said:

"We’re delighted to have partnered with NicheCom to support our agent customers with an offering that’s aimed at helping them win new instructions.

"Agents are often time poor, so being able to provide them with products and services that can improve efficiency is incredibly important. Hosting virtual viewings via NicheCom’s viewing platform will allow our agents to diversify their offering to their clients, save time on travel and host more initial viewings."

Meanwhile, the company has won a high-profile award for its customer service for its successful "Listening Tour", where local agents attend town hall sessions to share their ideas for improved service offerings from the portal.

OnTheMarket won the gold award for ‘Best B2B Customer Experience’ at the 2022 UK Customer Experience Awards for the Listening Tour, which has run more than 50 events since launch.

OnTheMarket says direct feedback from these sessions has led to the development of a number of partnerships and tools such as the portal’s lettings AVM, following calls for assistance in generating landlord enquiries.

Jason Tebb, CEO at OnTheMarket said:

"I couldn’t be happier that we’ve won a national award for our Listening Tour.

"My town halls are one of the best parts of my job and it’s an honour to meet with our customers and hear what they have to say. I would encourage any OnTheMarket agent who hasn’t been to a town hall yet to come along and have their say."

Online Marketplaces Editor Edmund Keith asked Jason Tebb about the lack of virtual tour technology on UK portals in a recent interview:
