Sequence UK, a real estate and lettings agent company, has been told by the Advertising Standards Authority to make sure that the Rightmove listings are more up-to-date after the properties are sold or withdrawn to avoid any future issues with outdated property listing information.

A complaint to the authority noted that after inquiring about a home listed by Sequence on the portal, it had in fact been sold.

“We received a complaint about a property listing on Rightmove. A complainant believed the ad was misleading because they were told the property was no longer on the market” says the authority.

Rightmove plc is a United Kingdom-based company, which operates as a property portal. The company's principal business is the operation of the rightmove.co.uk website.
