The world of hiring has been almost totally overhauled by the advent of artificial intelligence (AI), infiltrating practically every scope of the process all the way to HR. But its benefits are plenty, especially in that the process of finding work or recruiting workers has been streamlined.

One such startup revolutionising the hiring industry is CutShort, an AI-powered recruitment platform that makes it possible for companies to identify, engage with and hire the most relevant candidates in a fraction of time.

Recently, Analytics India Magazine got in touch with the founder Nikunj Verma to get a 360-degree view of how this fledgling startup is leveraging AI to stand out in the race.

As Verma explains, CutShort uses AI technologies in largely three key areas:

  • Machine learning to analyse candidate data and understand their profile, skill set, key profile traits, interests
  • A matching engine that calculates a match score of the candidates with the jobs based on the job profile, key skills (including their related skills), desired industry/educational background, proficiencies and hard to know profile traits such as “strong aptitude”, “interest in problem-solving”
  • Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Natural Language Processing (NLU) to help companies engage with the candidates faster

CutShort has been used by 8,000+ recruiters from companies such as Google, Amazon, Swiggy, Media.net and thousands of startup founders.

“Matches shown by CutShort are accepted by employers around 70% of the times. This becomes 85% with 10 min customisations done by our Customer Success team,” says Verma.
