Allgäuer job portal reports decrease in postings, but not for its agency

Allgäuer has recently reported that, according to the employment agency, the job openings total has dropped by almost 3% in May alone and newly registered jobs have decreased by almost 25% as well. However, the online job portal Jobs-in-Allgäu, has been seeing some different metrics. 

According to the site, every day new job offers come in which apparently are not reported to the employment agency. Here, on average, just under 20 percent of new jobs are added each month compared to the previous year.

"That could be because the online job search at 'Jobs-in-Allgäu' is clearer and more comfortable than at the employment agency," says Jobs-in-Allgäu Product Manager Kathrin Sommer. The possibilities of self-presentation of companies and jobseekers are also very attractive on the online portal. According to Sommer, the number of companies that advertise jobs in Jobs-im-Allgäu has increased by 22 percent.
