Beamery announces new hires to expand on executive team

Beamery, the leading Talent Operating System, has recently announced it has expanded its executive team with three new leadership hires. Joel Passen has joined the company as Head of Global Sales; Debra Squyres as Vice President of Customer Success; and Jonathan Webb as Vice President of Product.

As Head of Global Sales at Beamery, Joel Passen will leverage his 20 years of experience in sales and revenue-generating operations to oversee the company’s go-to-market strategy. A recognized expert in HR, talent acquisition and recruiting technology, Joel has advised and co-founded a number of leading startups. Most recently, he co-founded Newton Software, a SaaS HR and talent acquisition technology company that was acquired by Paycor (2015), a US-based provider of HCM and payroll solutions. There, he also served as Chief Revenue Officer and led the company’s sales, marketing and alliances efforts. Prior to Newton Software, Joel was also co-founder and Chief Revenue Officer at Gravity Technologies, a firm that owned and operated companies in the talent acquisition space.

Debra Squyres brings more than two decades of experience in customer operations and human capital roles to Beamery. As Vice President of Customer Success, Debra will be responsible for providing Beamery customers with an experience that empowers those companies to identify and engage talent efficiently to power their businesses and achieve a competitive advantage. Debra joins Beamery from Namely where she served as Chief Client Officer with oversight responsibility for the company’s client success organization. Under Debra’s leadership, Namely’s customer success team scaled significantly as the company’s revenues grew by over 1100 percent and customer base grew from 200 clients to more than 1,000 worldwide. Previously, she served as Executive Director, Human Capital Services at TriNet where she led the largest corporate product line with a national team of 120 human capital consultants and specialists providing HR services to more than 7,000 clients and 160,000 worksite employees. The business grew 3x under Debra’s leadership, while maintaining industry leading customer retention.

Jonathan Webb joins Beamery with more than three decades of software industry experience. As Vice President of Product at Beamery, Jonathan will lead the product strategy and product management of Beamery’s Talent Operating System. He joins Beamery from Salesforce where he served as Director of Product Management for Salesforce Advertising Studio and acted as Managing Director for the team. In this role, he was responsible for building and maintaining product strategy and roadmaps, integrating with other Salesforce cloud solutions and aligning teams across sales, marketing, product management and support to drive consistent growth year-over-year. During his tenure, Advertising Studio’s revenue grew 500 percent. Previously, he co-founded and served as Chief Technology Officer at Tamome Ltd. At Tamome, Jonathan built the product strategy, roadmap, and engineering team for the company’s mobile advertising demand side platform.
