New UK challenger portal Boomin is continuing its hiring spree ahead of an anticipated launch later this year. The portal is the brainchild of Purple Bricks founders Kenny and Michael Bruce and has already been generating plenty of headlines and opinions in the British property market without even revealing its business model or USP.

The latest headlines being generated in the UK estate agency press revolve around comments from agents who have signed up to the portal which reveal that Boomin is set to be “more than just a list of homes for sale”. Agents, it seems, are coming out in favour of the new company and revealing their optimism around Boomin despite misgivings about its founders’ purple past.

The portal has reportedly signed up nearly 100 branches and is actively promoting each agent signed up via regular releases to the estate agency press and winning plaudits in the comments for its approach. The new portal is also offering a special offer of equity plus free use of the portal until January 2022 to entice agents and build a fear of missing out. The latest tranch of agents revealed to have signed up include national franchise group Humberts. With every new announcement the pressure on agents to sign up before the equity offer elapses grows.
