Encuentra24 to Reactivate Panamanian Property Market with 'Secret Sale'

The Central American marketplace site Encuentra24 has announced that it will be holding an online event at which pre-registered users will be able to peruse and purchase properties from Panamanian purveyors and be pre-approved for a mortgage.

The event is designed to help restart the housing market and facilitate contactless transactions in a country that is still very much suffering its first serious wave of Covid-19. The ‘secret-sale’ will see developers look to offload stock at cut-rate exclusive prices and Encuentra24 has partnered with a local bank to have registrants pre-approved for mortgages. The properties up for grabs will feature 360 virtual tours and well as extensive video content and will be incorporated across the Encuentra24 site as well as its dedicated property portal site Casas24.

The move follows a trend of similar online events in emerging markets where portals and marketplace sites have arranged similar ways for developers to offer stock virtually to pre-registered users. Vivanuncios reported success in doing something similar in Mexico back in May and in July LankaPropertyWeb did the same in Sri Lanka along with DotProperty in Thailand.
