Pitch Club is a highlight of any Property Portal Watch Conference. It provides a great platform for early-stage Prop Tech companies to present their business to potential investors and key players in the industry.

The stakes have been raised at this year’s 26th Property Portal Watch Conference in Madrid. The best business presenting during the Pitch Club event at the Conference will secure EUR 20,000 in financing from Simon Baker’s CAV Investment Group.

Simon Baker founder of Property Portal Watch and angel investor commented, “Pitch Club is a great chance for early stage companies to present their businesses and to receive real time feedback.  I have been very impressed with past presenters and have decided to invest in the winner of this year’s event.”

Any Prop Tech company can apply to participate in the Pitch Club. Their businesses are reviewed and a short list of six finalists are selected to present on the second day of the conference. Each finalist is allotted six minutes for their pitch. A panel of three experienced judges provides real-time feedback on the presentations.

Past alumni of the Pitch Club include HomsterseLocationsThe MotionMesto, Zervices, Kasaz, and Resident.ly. Many of these have gone on to raise significant financing as a result of presenting at a Property Portal Watch Conference.

A winner of a recent Pitch Club presentation was Brazilian-based Kzas, founded by Roberto Nascimento who commented; "The whole process and experience was well organized and provided interesting feedback and was a great learning experience for me.

“Pitching is like a sport… It takes time, practice and you have to be open to feedback, self-awareness, adjustment, but ultimately you have to compete with others and the Pitch Club is a really good place to do this.

“No one should be afraid of participating because the best part of it is the knowledge which you will gain. Receiving instant feedback from the group of panelists on stage was awesome!"

Another Pitch Club winner was Swiss-based eLocations.com. At the time, the company’s CEO, Steffen Schaack outlined his company’s business plan and gained the full attention of the audience and judges. Schaack said that after Pitch Club the feedback was tremendous, and he was contacted by several individuals who were keen to discuss eLocations’ business goals and potential investment opportunities.

Ramón Ballesca, CEO of Philippines-based Hoppler, presented at the 2017 Property Portal Watch Conference. Ballesca said, that the company was able to find an investor in at the very conference, “We sort to raise USD 1.3 million and that investor took the entire amount.”

Some start-up companies need mentoring… insights on what to do, and even more importantly what not to do. Others need strategic long-term planning. Most need capital. Pitch Club is where all these things, and more, come together.

Benefit from a room of C-Level market leaders and shakers listening to your concerns and providing real-time advice. You can't put a price on that.

Additionally, in the room are global investors, VC companies, and other portals that may find synergy with you, your band or your idea.
