La Mobilière, a member of Swiss ICMIF, has acquired real estate portal, Flatfox, which will help La Mobilière expand its housing offering and snatch a better portion of the Swiss market.

Flatfox is one of the most popular real estate marketplaces in Switzerland. It offers listing opportunities completely free for both individuals and real estate professionals. With it comes specialized technology to meet the specific needs of any entity looking to sell a property.

La Mobilière’s Mobilière Habitat businesses benefit the most from this acquisition, one such being the Scout24 Suisse SA online marketplace, a joint venture between Mobilière and Ringier Axel Springer. Other businesses include craftsmen portal, Buildigo and aroov’s tenant platform.

Andrea Kleiner, COO of Mobiliar, said:

“Flatfox has attractive features, a strong customer base and a team of motivated founders who will stay on board.”

Connecting Flatfox and aroov’s strengths means the consumers win. For real estate professionals, they’ll benefit from a more comprehensive solution for finding, selling, and renting property.

“The interaction between aroov and Flatfox offers consumers interesting services. Real estate professionals, for their part, benefit from comprehensive solutions that allow them to be present to tenants at the right time with relevant offers.”

Bernhard Mäder, CEO of Flatfox, said:

“With a strong partner like La Mobilière, we can join forces with aroov to jointly tackle market prospecting and product development, with a view to exploiting full potential of the digital rental market.”
