Swedish property portal Hemnet has been ranked by a new study as the country's 5th strongest media brand behind only YouTube, Google, Netflix and Spotify.
A Swedish YouGov survey using a syndicated brand tracker found that the property portal's brand is stronger than all other native media brands among adults and only behind the multi-billion-dollar silicon valley media giants.
The study also showed that Hemnet ranks 4th when it comes to the reputation of media brands as employers in the country, something that Hemnet CEO Cecilia Beck-Friis was keen to highlight in an accompanying press release:
"Hemnet is in a growth phase where we have a significant need to recruit, and it is therefore especially exciting that we are number four on the list of brands in the media industry that Swedes’ would be proud to work"
Hemnet has a dominant position as the market-leading property vertical in the country with a significant traffic advantage over its nearest rivals.
The company recently went public via an IPO on the Stockholm Nasdaq in April and has seen its stock price fluctuate significantly since, shooting up 50% from its float price of SEK 115 initially before climbing to SEK 250 in June. Currently, shares in the company are trading at around SEK 170.
