iHire has recently announced the promotion of President Steve Flook to Chief Executive Offer (CEO). As president and CEO of the Maryland-based recruitment technology provider, Flook will drive strategic growth initiatives while continuing to lead the company’s day-to-day operations. Founder and former CEO will resume his role as executive chair of iHire’s Board of Directors.

A technologist focused on software systems and information architecture, Flook has been at the forefront of the HR and recruitment technology space for nearly a decade. Since 2011, Flook has served as a change agent with many operational roles at iHire, including president, VP of product development, and director of engineering. As president, Flook helped iHire reach record revenue in 2018 – a feat achieved by continuously improving iHire’s products and services while appealing to both the employer and job seeker market segments.

“It is an honor to appoint Steve Flook to CEO,” said David MacFadyen, founder and executive chair of iHire. “Steve’s leadership, knack for innovation, and ability to collaborate with teams across departments and office locations have been instrumental in iHire’s extraordinary revenue performance the past two years. We eagerly look forward to witnessing the evolution of iHire’s next generation of products under Steve’s steady guidance.”

Flook came to iHire in 2011 as a lead architect/development manager after spending 11 years at 270net Technologies. There, Flook served as CTO and provided technology consulting services to both the public and private sector. A native of Frederick, Maryland, Flook holds a Bachelor of Science in Management Information Systems from The Johns Hopkins University.

“With our 20th anniversary approaching in November, 2019 is already shaping up to be a banner year for iHire,” said Steve Flook, iHire’s president and CEO. “After experiencing our most successful month in company history this January, we are actively expanding our teams and developing solutions that support our vision of being the most effective industry-focused, candidate-centric recruitment solution available. I am humbled and proud to be a part of this organization and cannot wait to see what the future has in store.”
