The #1 property portal in Myanmar, ShweProperty, has announced a change of leadership. Managing Director Kevin Goos leaves the company after more than 3 years with ShweProperty to pursue other interests, and Dolly Lwin has rejoined as VP of sales after a short break.

“We appreciate the strong contribution Kevin has made and grateful for his previous efforts. We’re also very excited to welcome back Dolly Lwin as Director of Business Development to further grow the company. we will be looking to replace the MD role in the foreseeable future, however in the meantime, the management team which includes myself and 6 other directors remain 100% focused on growing the business, continuing to actively support our clients, the real estate industry and maintaining our strong leadership position in the market” says CEO of ShweProperty, Justin Sway.

The company received significant series B funding in late 2019 with Emerging Markets Investment Advisors (EMIA) among those who see huge potential in the market in Myanmar. The country was a topic of conversation for Malcolm Myers and Simon Baker on a recent episode of our Vodcast series. It was speculated that Myanmar could be a market in which there is the potential for a portal to end up “owning the market”.

It will be fascinating to see how this emerging market changes over the coming years and ShweProperty looks well set to make the most of the opportunities presented in Myanmar.
