Nigeria's Career24 is being shut down by Naspers

Subsidiary of Naspers and South African-based multinational internet and media firm, Media24, has recently announced that they will be closing down online job platform Career24 after a five-year run in Nigeria.

In a response to Business Insider Sub-Saharan Africa's inquiry, Media24 said the job portal Careers24 will be closing its Nigerian operation effective 1 March 2019.

The company made an official announcement in an exclusive statement emailed to Business Insider Sub-Sahara Africa on Monday, January 7, 2018.

Ishmet Davidson, CEO of Media24, said, “Like any other business, we regularly review our portfolio of print and digital brands, products and services – some flourish, others battle.”
