Reali offers new iBuying program for buying a new home first

August 28, 2019

Leading proptech company, Reali, has announced that it plans to launch a new program called Reali Trade-In™ which will allow users to buy first and then sell, eliminating headaches and bringing affordability to the process of managing both transactions at the same time.

Reali's goal is to help people whose liquidity is connected to their home. Reali Trade-In™ helps sellers purchase a new home and sell their current property in just three steps: Reali begins by helping the seller find their new home and purchase it with cash for the seller; The seller moves into their new home; Reali prepares and lists their existing home for sale, using the proceeds as the repayment to Reali for the new home they purchased, at no additional cost to the buyer. Something unique to this program.

"With Reali Trade-In, we are simplifying two of the most stressful events in modern life: buying and selling a home," said Amit Haller, Reali CEO. "We reworked the process so sellers can conveniently get into the home they want first with our cash while paying a competitive price. Then, we'll sell their existing home for the highest price possible. Reali is the only company that offers a 'buy before you sell' program to sellers without charging additional fees because we believe our customers should benefit the most from their real estate transaction."

IBuyers put emphasis on selling as quickly as possible, even if the seller needs to accept a less than full value for the property, so they can buy their new home in a "timely manner". According to MarketWatch research, iBuyer programs net customers (who are in need of equity in the home in order to buy a new one) 11% less on average than those who sell their home on the open market.

To optimize the process, Reali Trade-In™ helps lower the stress of the whole transaction by eliminating the need to move twice or pay for a short-term rental while the sellers secure their new home. Reali's free cash offer offers clients to move directly into their new home and save around 2% off the list price of the home when paying with cash.

Reali Trade-In™ was originally launched as a pilot program to select customers earlier this year. "We love our new home in Lathrop and not having to find another place to live while we sold our current home in Belmont was a huge relief," said Cynthia Boardman, a Reali Trade-In customer. "The process was stress-free, easy, and my home sold for top dollar."

Reali Trade-In™ customers are offered the help from in-house mortgage experts to get pre-approved in a timely manner, while Reali agents help them find a new home and sell their existing home at the same time. As for the listed home and any prep work needed to get it market-ready, Reali hires and manages cleaners, stagers, painters, home improvement professionals and photographers in order to make the process as smooth as possible.
