Realtor.com Throws Their Agents a Bone

April 20, 2020

During this time of crisis, companies are scrambling to compensate for the struggles of their workforce in any way they can. In the world of property portals, that means discounted subscription extensions for agents.

One such portal has announced it will extend its billing relief program for its agents. Realtor.com said that it will be offering a smaller reduced subscription fee this month and allow its agents to suspend their services and extend their contracts, monthly.

As the first discount on monthly subscription charges end, the portal knew it needed something else to continue to help its agents while also keeping business going. The subscription was for its advertising and lead generation tools.

Now, the company is offering two new options to help its agents:

  • 30% discount for its advertising and lead generation services
  • Temporary suspension of services and billings for the subscription in exchange for an extra month of contract life.

Real estate companies are doing whatever they can to improve their offerings to match the current societal environment. Innovation on the technology side is just one part. There is still a very human side of buying and selling real estate that can’t be replaced yet. Discounted subscriptions seem to be the average answer to the dilemma that portals have come to.
