Trippki has recently announced over Twitter that its Trippki Hotel Beta will now accept cryptocurrencies as a form of payment for booking one of its 1.6 million hotels listed on the platform.

This is an exciting development as the Ethereum blockchain-based hotel booking platform which utilizes Smart Rewards will create an incentive for users to spend their cryptocurrency.

Trippki is trying to create a better relationship between hotels and their crypto guests. Once a guest utilizes the Trippki platform in booking for lodging, the guests receives a reward called Trip. This reward can either be spent or traded by the user if he so wishes.

The system also works in such a unique way that with each Trip a user receives, the transaction is recorded in a reward ledger and the user can build his reputation on the platform with specific hotels.

Earlier in the year, Trippki announced that it would be integrating  XRP tokens to its online bookings thereby attracting users of the XRP. This decision was revealed via tweet by an independent crypto-analyst, Tiffany Hayden.

She tweeted, “Trippki just reached out and offered to help with hotel bookings, so we can now pay with $XRP!”The blockchain platform has grown its reach by adding Dogecoin, Decred DCR, Ethereum, Litcoin, Monero to enable customers to make online bookings.
