Zoopla has seen 275,000 people sign up for its ‘Zooploma’ advice course since its launch last week. The course is delivered over the course of 16 emails delivered over 6 weeks and brings advice and case studies around the moving process and property in general to a British public currently enraptured by property portal listings and the idea of living in a better home. The gives space to Zoopla’s partner brands to reach a motivated audience with their targeted messages and covers topics such as:

●        What you need to know about moving in 2020

●        Whether moving home could ultimately save money

●        What it takes to budget

●        House price estimates

●        The ultimate guide to selling your home

●        How to find a future-proofed home

The fact that so many have signed up is testament both to the job Zoopla must have done marketing the course as well as the gap in the market for advice around the practicalities of buying property and moving home. A lot has been written about how people are beginning to view their homes through different lenses and how this is translating to record levels of traffic on portals and a British property sales boom that is rewriting the rulebook. As anyone who has bought a property in the UK will tell you, the process can be convoluted and cumbersome and free advice is definitely welcome. Speaking about the launch, Zoopla Head of CRM, Adam Knight said:

“Demand for property shows no sign of abating and, with more buyers and sellers coming to the market, appetite to learn more about the complexities of the home moving process has never been more pronounced.”

Zoopla’s course will undoubtedly convert some casual browsers from ‘considering moving’ to ‘actively looking to move’ and looks like a format that may see some copycats around the world sooner rather than later.
