PAP.fr Signs Partnership Agreement with DossierFacile

PAP.fr has partnered up with DossierFacile to provide tenants with a streamlined service that accelerates matchmaking between landlords and tenants.

The new service is called Locathèque and lets tenants create a 'rental file' that is verified by DossierFacile within 24 hours.

The best bit is that tenants with verified rental files will have applications automatically made for them when properties matching their needs are uploaded onto PAP.fr's portal—within ten minutes of the listing going live.

The agreement was signed by Corinne Joly, President of PAP, and Arthur Hatchuel, Director at DossierFacile, with France's Minister Delegate for Housing Olivier Klein also in attendance.

Klein said:

"I am very happy to see the materialization of work that will make it possible to streamline, secure and accelerate the connection between landlords and tenants.

"The Government supports innovations to make life easier for the French."

Alas, PAP is no stranger to agent vitriol and this announcement was no exception.

The news wasn't warmly received by everyone. Loic Cantin, President of the National Real Estate Federation (FNAIM), was quick to respond to news of the partnership that further empowers PAP users to circumvent agencies entirely:

“What contempt for real estate professionals, the first facilitators of the residential journey of the French, Minister. Our profession is outraged."

It's not the first time FNAIM has publicly opposed PAP. As outlined in our recent investigation into unusual portal models worldwide, PAP has banned agents from its platform, with FNAIM suing PAP for defamation in 2020 in a case that PAP would go on to win.
