Southeast Asian property portal group PropertyGuru has announced that it will hold a month-long virtual property expo to showcase new development properties. The expo will feature homes from ten different countries including from two countries outside the company’s usual region of operations: Australia and The United Kingdom.

Beginning tomorrow (11th of November), prospective home hunters and investors will be able to view properties from over 300 new developments, engage in dialogue with developers and agents, see trends and insights around the development and navigate virtual property booths.

The event is likely to generate a lot of interest and PropertyGuru will be hoping that its new stated business direction “Find. Finance. Own” can come true for attendees via its end-to-end digital sales platform fastkey which has been the beneficiary of significant improvement and investment over the last few months.

Speaking about the event, PropertyGuru’s Chief Business Officer Jeremy Williams said, “We are excited to host the largest multi-country virtual property expo in Asia. COVID-19 has rapidly evolved the way consumers are exploring properties and many are increasingly using virtual tours and digital tools to continue transactions. Amidst these new trends, our expo brings the best projects and developers of the region to the fingertips of property seekers across Asia, without compromising their health and safety. Through the virtual expo, we hope to make property transactions borderless and offer all necessary services to buy a home, under one roof – from exploring projects with FastKey to funding homes with PropertyGuru Finance. This is a step further in our commitment and continued efforts to digitise the property industry as we empower consumers to ‘Find.Finance.Own’ their homes with us.”

Although by no means a new format, online expos have become far more prevalent since the onset of the pandemic with Juwai, Vivanuncios, Aqarmap, LankaPropertyWeb and Encuenta24 some of the portals around the world that have gone down the online expo route.
