Ready for a Change: A New Zillow Advert is Here

Zillow has done a number of things in the last few months to combat the problems that have arisen surrounding the COVID-19 crisis. From cutting costs in its marketing department to furloughing staff, Zillow has done it all.

However, the US market has shown its resilience. Minus the lacking inventory, home searches and sales are up far higher than what was predicted at the beginning of the year. Zillow was able to bring back its iBuyer feature and has been slowly opening it up in markets across the country, partnering with former US Surgeon General, Dr. Regina Benjamin, MD, MBA, to bring back Zillow Offers with a new twist that allows for the service to continue while being as safe as possible for public health.

The company has rehired staff, shuffled around its leadership, and even provided new job opportunities in a country that is suffocating under unemployment numbers.

Richard Barton, Zillow’s CEO, has backed the support of remote work, saying that it has been a blinding success during quarantines and that employees can choose to continue to work from home, moving forward.

So, in the same vein as these initiatives and tweaking of business models, the company has just released a new commercial to continue showing support to an ever-changing market climate.

Called ‘Ready for a Change,’ this 30-second advert shows a side-scroll street view of different houses, ending with a beautiful beach house. The commercial is in support of consumer behavior changing along with the needs of a world under a pandemic’s heavy boot.

Commenting on the ad, Aimee Johnson, Zillow Chief Marketing Officer, said:

“People value home now more than ever and the pandemic has reshaped where and how Americans want to live.”

The advert is airing on HGTV, The Food Network, and the History Channel, as well as on Hulu and other streaming services. You can view the advert in its full 30-second version here.
