The Housing Heroes Program gets a Little Help from Liberty Insurance

Irish real estate platform giant, Daft.ie, had recently launched an initiative to house doctors and hospital staff working on the front line. With constant interactions with patients suffering from the extremely contagious COVID-19 virus, and with Daft.ie realizing there were a number of empty properties, the Housing Heroes project was born.

The project is on its third week and already has over 100 properties to offer to hospital staff for free. In fact, 80% of these properties have already been filled with doctors and nurses across Ireland

The project announced that they have received 800 inquiries and have been viewed on the Daft.ie site over 25,000 times.

Jumping at a lucrative chance to help, Liberty Insurance has entered a partnership with Daft.ie to aide in the Housing Heroes initiative, offering free contents insurance to those staying in one of the properties offered through the program.

Commenting on the partnership, Product Director of Liberty Europe, Juan Miguel Estallo said that the company always prioritizes the people.

“We are proud to participate in the Housing Heroes initiative by providing free contents insurance to the homes available to health care personnel in this program. We would like to thank everyone on the front line at this time for their hard work and dedication.”

Hosts working with the program will be offered a free digital contract through Swiftcourt, which they can share with their Hero (the program’s name for a hospital staff staying in one of the Housing Heroes properties).

To join in on the initiative, Irish homeowners with spare properties can become a Housing Hero Host via the Daft.ie website or by emailing the Daft team at [email protected]. To join the cause is simple. Register on housingheroes.daft.ie. A Daft customer service team member will reach out and help develop and place your ad. When your property is selected and both Hero and Host agree on the terms, a free digital contract will be provided for both parties to sign.

Now, more than ever, giving back is paramount. Daft.ie believes that this program will help stave off the contagious virus by putting a literal barricade between those constantly in contact with the virus and their loved ones to keep them safe from more contamination. Daft is one of many property platforms using their services for the greater good. Will others begin to follow in their footsteps as the pandemic continues its global rampage?
