LiveIn.com, now formerly HostelHunting, expands into Indonesia and Philippines

Having raised more than $4.5 million from VCs like KK Fund and Jungle Ventures, the startup is currently operational in its headquarter country, Malaysia and Thailand.

HostelHunting, a long-stay rental solutions provider in Southeast Asia, announced that it has rebranded into LiveIn.com.

The announcement is a part of the Kuala Lumpur-headquartered startup’s transition into the next phase of market expansion, it said in a press note.

Keek Wen Khai, Co-Founder and CEO of LiveIn.com, said:

“Our rebranding as LiveIn.com — with our tagline 'Live Smart. Live Easy' — more clearly defines our company’s identity and wider target market."

The startup was launched in 2015 as an online marketplace for property owners and potential tenants to match, with a mission to tackle long-term room rental issues among students and property owners.

In 2018, it pivoted direction to focus on value-added co-living by offering spaces to rent for middle-class students and working professionals across Southeast Asia.

After the pivot, the company has grown to thousands of rooms across many districts in Kuala Lumpur and Bangkok, the company claims.
