Budget hotel chain, RedDoorz, has announced the launch of KoolKost, a discount, long-term co-living service that allows travelers to rent rooms under flexible leases.

It aims to provide quality community-type living spaces for young professionals and college students in major metropolitan cities in Indonesia.

Adil Mubarak, Vice President of Operations at RedDoorz, said:

“In recent years, increased urbanization partnered with rising home prices has led to a demand for kost-type accommodation in Indonesia, particularly among millennials and Gen Zs who live and work in Indonesia’s busiest cities such as Jakarta, Surabaya, and Yogyakarta."

Kost is a local term in Indonesia that refers to a room for rent.

According to the statement, KoolKost provides a 24-hour customer service, complimentary high-speed WiFi access, room cleaning service, and unlimited filtered drinking water. All rooms are en-suite with a personal bathroom and are equipped with a comfortable bed and ample storage spaces.
