Aon Angola, a localized off-shoot of Aon, one of the world’s largest insurance brokerages, has entered a partnership with Tech Africa, one of the largest technology companies in the continent. With this partnership, the two entities will create a new way consumers can acquire insurance products in an easier and more transparent way.

On the partnership, Tiago Dá Mesquita, Aon Angola CEO said:

“We are happy to partner with Tech Africa, as we recognize an alignment between our cultures of innovation and high standards of service. This solution will bring insurance closer to consumers and we expect it to contribute to its massification in Angola.”

Together, Aon and Tech Africa will streamline both automotive and home insurance products through Tech Africa’s two marketplaces, AngoCarro.com and AngoCasa.com.

Tech Africa’s founder and CEO, Kenneth Hogrefe shared the following statements:

“We are delighted to announce the partnership with Aon Angola, as this is another significant step towards constantly improving the user journey on our portals by providing a more end-to-end service offering. The push towards creating a more frictionless experience for consumers is essential for our company’s evolution.”

AngoCasa, which had acquired Jumia House in 2017, has already taken the top spot in the Angolan real estate market and is the largest portal in the country.

Tech Africa Founder and CEO, Kenneth Hogrefe said:

“We are delighted to announce the partnership with Aon Angola, as this is another significant step towards constantly improving the user journey on our portals by providing a more end-to-end service offering. The push towards creating a more frictionless experience for consumers is essential for our company’s evolution.”

Hogrefe concluded:

“Building trust and confidence is the cornerstone to our success and through a partnership with Aon Angola, we’ll now offer the leading automotive and home insurance products in the country through our digital marketplaces.”

At the start of the rollout of new products, Angolan consumers will gain easier access to automotive and home insurance. As the year goes on, there will be new insurance products available as the partnership develops.
