Home automation proptech provider to use software with smart home solutions to help lower OpEx and increase savings for users

VirtualKEY, an automation proptech firm for property managers and owner-operations based out of Chicago, has recently announced the completion of its integration with another Chicago-based firm, Direct®, a cutting-edge Property Management System for the vacation rental sector.

"We are beyond thrilled to announce our integration with VirtualKEY," said Wes Smithe, Co-Founder & CEO at Direct®. “The platform is amazing end-to-end, their approach to the market is frictionless, and their dynamic team is making a huge impact in the industry. This seamless integration allows managers to automate operations in the most personalized way possible.”

Direct® will use VirtualKEY's innovative technology to offer the vacation rental management companies on its platform to generate access codes for their short-term rentals, allowing their tenants to unlock doors with a 4-digit PIN or their mobile devices for the duration of their stay. When the reservation expires, the code is automatically defunct, and an audit trail for security purposes is created.

With this integration, property managers will also be able to automate HVAC temperature changes based on occupancy, ultimately saving up to 15% in utilities, along with controlling lights, voice-assisted concierge services, monitor staff, and protect assets using noise, smoke, and leak sensors.

"It gives me immense pleasure to announce the Integration with Direct," said Resha Shroff, CEO of VirtualKEY. "Direct is an all-in-one property management software with next-gen technology disrupting our industry. Direct will make it easier for property managers to manage their properties, staff, vendors, guests, and bookings in one single platform."
