Online Marketplaces had the pleasure of interviewing InvestFar’s Founder, Andre' Stewart.

Los Angeles-based InvestFar, is a real estate tech startup looking to simplify real estate investing for any level of investor in any market across the United States, and now the world.

The company’s goal is to make it so investors can pick a property, go to the closing, renovate it, flip it and/or have a tenant placed, all from their home office.

“InvestFar is spearheading the globalization of real estate investing; making it easy for people to invest in real estate anywhere in the world from the comfort of their own home,” said Stewart.

Stewart, a commercial banker and an investor himself, realized that although there was a lot of money “floating around” Los Angeles, investors were unaware of other areas’ potential, where their capital could go further. Thus, the idea behind InvestFar was conceived in May of 2017 and the portal was launched in January of 2018.

The company may be young, but Stewart and his team already attended the Global Online Marketplaces Summit in Miami, and the Property Portal Watch Madrid 2018 Conference. “I learned a lot about different marketplaces from the conference [in Miami],” said Stewart, adding that he realized then, that the next step was to become a sponsor.

“What we're gaining from this conference is the international exposure and international listings. I predict that 6 to 12 months from now, we will be able to feature all the tools we already provide in the U.S. in other markets.”

“We have built relationships with the attending companies, as well as with the Mitula Group, as we look for listings in other parts of the globe. Since we're spearheading globalization, we want to be able to populate our portal with listings,” added Stewart.

Stewart also explained the difference between InvestFar and the likes of Zillow and Redfin, “We are completely different from a company that aims to sell properties to people to live in.”

“We provide all the tools and resources for you to be able to invest in another market. Among the tools, InvestFar has a valuation tool allowing the buyer to input an address of a property giving them a two-year forecast of the property’s value, as well as estimating a one-year risk of decline.”

“InvestFar gives investors pretty much all the data they need to make an informed decision before the purchase a property,” added Stewart.

InvestFar also launched an app in January of 2018 for both Android and iOS systems and has had tremendous market adoption.
