UK Portal Boomin has acquired online interior design service My Bespoke Room as part of its diversification strategy.

Consumers will benefit from My Bespoke Room’s interior design platform, including digitally designed room visuals, layouts, mood boards, a shopping list, plenty of pro styling tips and their own personal shopper.

My Bespoke Room will continue to operate independently, but will be incorporated into Boomin’s “Property Playground”—which offers agents the ability to build long-term relationships with customers.

Michael Bruce, CEO and founder of Boomin, said:

“The acquisition will be a win-win for all parties. It will reinforce our strategy of creating a relationship that lasts a lifetime with everyone interested in property and not just those active in the market today.

“Boomin’s agents will benefit significantly from gaining access to unique customers who are thinking of selling or letting as well as portfolio landlords and investors and will develop lifetime commercial relationships.”

My Bespoke Room was founded by Diana Greenhalgh and Laura Simpson in 2014. They released a joint statement after the acquisition completed:

“We launched My Bespoke Room eight years ago with a vision to revolutionise the world of interior design. Our mission was to make professional interior design accessible to all; bringing it online, making it convenient, affordable and fun.

“We’re excited about the next phase of growth for My Bespoke Room and the opportunities that joining forces with Boomin will bring.”

Boomin has been busy recently, including the launch of its SmartVal tool in September 2021—which the business claims converts to a listing in more than 20% cases.

SmartVal lets homeowners choose local agents to provide a valuation of their property in as quickly as 15 minutes, with supplementary market data and details provided by the homeowner to give extra accuracy to the valuation.
