CoStar says it is releasing a new package of features that will save property managers time and generate higher quality leads for rental listings.

The portal has once again pushed for parity with rival Zillow with the unveiling of its new Listing of the Future, an enhanced rental listing feature set clients can add onto their listings, including 3D tours and walkthrough videos.

The full Listings of the Future feature list promises: photos of the unit; a floor plan/layout image; a video walkthrough of the unit; a 3D tour of the unit; the location of the unit in the property; the view from the unit; a list of amenities in the building; the price, date of availability, and square footage.

A CoStar spokesperson said:

"Renters care about more than just the amenities or square footage. They care about the individual layout of the unit, its location within a building or complex and its view.

"Getting on a prospect’s short list is very important. For renters, the Listing of the Future answers their call for more information about prospective units, and easier access to crucial details."

CoStar’s announcement coincides with the portal’s proposed launch of Citysnap, a new app for properties in New York City. The app is set to launch this June, and registrations for the app are already open.

Citysnap’s website says that it is the “only real estate app in New York with complete inventory for rentals and sales”, and aims to be the city’s “#1 app for consumers in NYC”.
