Challenger portal OpenBrix has teamed up with tenancy deposit specialist The Dispute Service (TDS) to release a tenant life cycle app that it says will forge a new way for agents to measure the tenant experience.

Dubbed "tlyfe", the UK-first app will introduce verified digital ID and right-to-rent checks at the click of a button, a tenant loan solution, an interactive move-in process and document storage. The app is compliant with government policy and was developed following discussions with the Department of Levelling Up, Housing and Communities.

Tlyfe is the first smartphone app to offer lifecycle services, including building tenants' credit rating, keeping an ongoing digital record of rental payments.

The app free to use but is exclusive to TDS customers and was developed as part of an August partnership with OpenBrix.

Adam Piggott, CEO at OpenBrix, said:

"Thanks to this unique collaboration with industry leader TDS, the release of tlyfe will make a real difference to tenants and give them a huge advantage when managing their rentals."

OpenBrix recently poached Countrywide veteran Adrienne Clarke to be its CFO, with a number of Countrywide veterans already on the books.
