Canada's Thunder Bay district gets a new official medical staffing platform

Ontario, Canada's Thunder Bay Community Economic Development Commission has debuted their latest digital project for recruitment and staffing needs requiring healthcare professionals.

The medical recruitment platform WWW.GOTOTHUNDERBAY/HEALTH targets professionals needed to fill some of the city's most in-demand jobs including family physicians and specialists, nurses, pharmacists, personal support workers, technicians and medical technologists.

In a recent announcement, CEDC's health sciences recruiter, Lexie Penko, said the initiative is aimed at broadening the reach of existing recruitment efforts to include skilled candidates who might otherwise be missed.

"We are experiencing labour shortages in healthcare, as are many communities, and we have to do more to spread the word about the careers and lifestyles Thunder Bay has to offer," Penko said.
