IMMOunited To Launch Austrian Portal After Scout24 Deal Collapse

May 21, 2026

IMMOunited, the Austrian land registry and property data specialist, will launch its first consumer-facing real estate portal on 11 June 2026, marking the company's first major strategic move since its proposed sale to Scout24 fell through last year.

The Vienna-based PropTech, founded in 2007, supplies transaction data, valuation tools and project pipelines to professional clients, including agents, developers and banks.

The new platform will offer a curated set of related tools to home seekers and sellers for the first time, and will be free for end users.

Roland Schmid, owner and managing director of IMMOunited, said:

"This step is a logical and above all necessary further development of our work. There are products that the industry talks about. And there are products that change the industry. Our new real estate portal belongs to the second category, and the most remarkable thing about it is that even those who were initially sceptical are enthusiastic after the first tests. IMMOunited's long-term vision remains clear: to make the real estate market even more transparent, clearer and more data-based. Well-founded decisions should become the standard for all market participants." [Translated from German]

IMMOunited serves over 2,000 corporate clients and over 10,000 users across its existing product suite, spanning IMMObase, IMMOmapping, IMMOdeveloper, IMMOstats, IMMOfarming, IMMOvaluation and IMABIS.

Scout24's planned acquisition of the business was abandoned after the Austrian Federal Competition Authority blocked the deal in December 2025.

The new portal sets up a competitive collision in Austria, where ImmoScout24.at, operated by Scout24, is the market leader.

The launch fulfils a strategic pivot Schmid teased earlier this year, commenting on LinkedIn that IMMOunited's focus would shift to "innovative products, strategic restructurings and the expansion of the B2C business, to increasingly serve the end customer sector".

According to a press release, several of IMMOunited's long-standing B2B partners have backed the launch. Karina Schunker, managing director of EHL Wohnen, said the portal offered a valuable way to address her target group in a focused way, while 3SI Immogroup's Michael Schmidt called the underlying data set without equal in Austria.

RE/MAX Austria managing director Bernhard Reikersdorfer welcomed the new entrant, saying every additional portal was a chance to expand market presence and strengthen reach.
