We kick off this week's Roundup with a nifty data deal for Redfin.
Redfin, powered by Rocket, has partnered with The Weather Company (weathercompany.com), which owns The Weather Channel app and weather.com, to bring local weather data to every for-sale home listing on Redfin. As Redfin’s exclusive historical weather provider, The Weather Company weather data is now available on all for-sale listings on Redfin.com and the Redfin iOS and Android apps.
Homebuyers can now view ZIP code-level weather metrics directly on home listings, including average temperature, precipitation, snowfall, humidity, and UV index, helping them better understand what it’s like to live in a neighbourhood year-round.
According to Redfin, 22% of U.S. residents planning an out-of-state move said better weather is motivating their relocation.
Ariel Dos Santos, Chief Product and Design Officer at Redfin, said:
Homebuyers are searching for more than square footage and price—they want to know what it will actually be like to live somewhere. As weather and climate concerns play a bigger role in relocation decisions, we’re bringing that information directly into the home search experience. From conversational search to weather insights, Redfin is focused on helping people discover homes and neighborhoods that truly fit their lifestyles.”
Rohit Agarwal, CEO at The Weather Company, added:
“Weather is deeply personal—it shapes not only our daily schedules but our emotions and our sense of place. The Weather Channel data is already relied upon by hundreds of millions of people monthly. By integrating these same trusted, high-precision insights directly into the Redfin experience, we are meeting consumers where they are and empowering homebuyers with the trusted clarity they need to navigate life’s most significant decisions.”
Real estate site KV.ee, part of BCG, has rolled out new service packages for real estate developers as revealed in the Group's interim report.
The new package replaces the previous, shared plans with more targeted marketing, analytics and pricing tools for the developer segment. Listings will now be grouped by their respective developments, making it easier for buyers to browse and compare new apartments by project.
Meanwhile, the horizontal platform Skelbiu.lt has introduced an AI-powered image moderation that screens listing images for forbidden content, with moderators able to adjust prompts for specific categories directly in the back office.
The Scottish portal, ESPC, has launched a new offer providing a 72hr window for early access before the property is listed nationally.
ESPC has launched a new mobile property portal search app that gives buyers early access to thousands of homes before they appear nationally, providing access to more than 80% of new listings up to 3 days before they are advertised elsewhere.
The new offer is active for buyers in Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife, the Borders and Dumfries & Galloway.
Paul Hilton, Chief Executive of ESPC, said:
“Earlier this year, ESPC was named as the first property portal of choice for buyers and sellers across our core areas of Edinburgh, the Lothians, Fife and the Borders – so we know that our service holds real value to househunters and homeowners alike. We know that many consumers expect a mobile-first experience and a seamless user journey, and our app’s careful design and clean, efficient interface, updated in real time, will meet their needs instantly. It felt like the perfect time to launch a brand-new app designed to make property searches faster and more efficient than ever."
