Skills Passport debuts in Malaysia, leveraging AI to help talent find jobs

Artificial intelligence (AI)-based employment platform, Skills Passport, is preparing to launch in Malaysia - hopefully to the benefit of young job seekers.

This was announced by Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman after witnessing the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Smart Trends International and Malaysian Resources Corporation in Kuala Lumpur recently.

Syed Saddiq said the portal will allow for a more simplified and efficient way to match job seekers’ criteria with related organisations in the market right away.

Having such a portal that is compatible with the work ecosystem would aid the Malaysian government in solving the problem of youth unemployment in the country, he said, adding that the industry will also win as employers wouldn’t have to manually search for young talents.
