Swiss Marketplace Group has acquired the Swiss operations of immoverkauf24, adding a dedicated seller-lead platform to its portfolio and strengthening its position as the country’s largest real estate marketplace operator.
The deal, structured as an asset purchase, brings immoverkauf24.ch under the SMG umbrella alongside ImmoScout24, Homegate and Flatfox. No employees will transfer, and the German and Austrian businesses, which are owned by German portal operator Scout24, will continue to operate independently.
The acquisition gives SMG Real Estate a direct channel for verified seller enquiries, addressing one of the most critical challenges for agents in a supply-constrained market.
“Living space is scarce in Switzerland, especially owner-occupied homes,” said Martin Waeber, Managing Director of SMG Real Estate. “With immoverkauf24, we are adding another piece to our platform portfolio. It fits seamlessly into our strategy of providing real estate agents with the best digital tools from lead generation to successful closing.”
For agents, seller acquisition has become increasingly competitive and expensive as demand outstrips supply. SMG says the addition of immoverkauf24 will allow brokers to win mandates faster and market listings more efficiently.
“Transferring the Swiss business into the hands of a company that knows the local market so well is the best outcome,” said Cinja Barck, Managing Director of immoverkauf24. “We will continue to operate in Germany and Austria as before.”
Financial details were not disclosed, but the companies said the transaction is small relative to SMG’s overall business.
