VIDEO INTERVIEW: Simon Bray, GM Real Estate, Mitula Group

The 24th Property Portal Watch Conference was held in November, in Spain’s capital city, where a record 400 attendees from 48 countries convened at the Novotel Center, to address key issues facing their businesses.

Over the course of three days, some of the top names in online property classifieds and marketplaces witnessed 40+ speakers from around the world present on this year's theme of "From Classifieds to Marketplaces."

Among the featured speakers was Simon Bray, General Manager at Mitula Group, who also had a one-on-one interview with industry leader and founder of Property Portal Watch, Simon Baker.

The Mitula Group organized a session with its customers during the Madrid 2018 Conference to discuss some of the current trends in the industry; Baker asked what key elements were drawn out during the meeting. Bray stated that the interaction with the executives from different parts of the world alone, was very rewarding, and although getting closer to the transaction was the main topic of discussion, the transformation from a media business – a classifieds model – into a marketplace, and to what extent the companies are invested in achieving this, was also very interesting.
